Been writing music demos since 1992, but the songs for Search the Stars Universal Love project started with some chord progressions taking shape into back in 2012-2013 with lyrics writing from 2013 through 2023. Song production is almost done! Search the Stars songs fall under mixture of different genres of pop rock, power pop, rock, country rock, and britpop influences with positively-charged messages with love in our hearts to share with the world. Pending first release Universal Love is concept album of 15 mostly acoustic-driven songs about love and the universe. Find us at www.searchthestarsband.com, Search the Stars on Facebook, and email searchthestarsband@gmail.com. All songs are original material and copyrighted prior uploading to SoundCloud. Hoping to expand the band, but for now John is the singer/songwiter playing guitars, keys, and mandolin. Brother Harley is the bassist. Trying to put out some positive songs about life while showing our appreciation to God for his patience in us. John began playing guitar in 1987. Harley is a self-proclaimed copycat on bass. However modest, he has been thumping on the bass since his teens for more than 20 years. Currently, we are finishing up the Universal Love album and entering some song writing contests, but there is a lot of material written for future releases. We were blessed to have 2 songs with Wonderful and Looking finish in the quarterfinals of the 2020 IAMAs. And, song Wish finished in quarterfinals of 2021 IAMAs.
